Athenaeus

Athenaeus (170 - 223), also Athenaeus of Naucratis, was a Greek writer, rhetorician and grammarian. He wrote a curious miscellany of a book entitled "Deipnosophistæ, or the Suppers of the Learned," extant only in an imperfect state.
