Australian Rules

Australian Rules is a form of football game. It is also called Australian Rules Football. Its official name is Australian National Football. The game is played with an oval ball on an oval ground by teams of eighteen players. Players may run with the ball up to fifteen metres without touching it to the ground and are free to pass it in any direction by punching. However, the players are required to touch the ball to the ground every fifteen metres. There are two sets of goalposts - the inner and the outer. A goal between the inner posts scores six points and a behind made by kicking the ball between the outer posts scores one point.
