Avuncular

Avuncular is something relating to an uncle, especially maternal uncle. The term is derived from Latin avunculus which means 'maternal uncle'. In anthropology, this term is applied for something relating to the relationship between men and their siblings' children. Avuncular is also the kindly and friendly behaviour towads someone less experienced or younger.
