Badger

Badger is a nocturnal mammal belonging to the weasel family. It is omnivorous and heavily built. It has typically a gray and black coat. The zoological name of the family is Mustelidae having several genera and species. Two of them are particularly noteworthy - the Eurasian Meles meles and the North American Taxidea taxus. Meles meles has a white head with two black stripes, and Taxidea taxus has a white stripe on the head.

A native of Wisconsin, a state in the United States is also informally called a Badger.
