Badlands

Badlands are extensive tracts of land with little vegetation. These are heavily eroded and uncultivable. Such a barren plateau region of the western US is simply called the Badlands. It is noted for its harsh terrain. It is situated south of Black Hills in southwestern South Dakota and northwestern Nebraska.
