Balkan Wars
Balkan Wars were the two wars fought over the last European territories of the
Ottoman Empire during 1912-13.
Bulgaria,
Serbia,
Greece, and
Montenegro forced Turkey to give up
Albania and
Macedonia in 1912, leaving the area around Constantinople (now Istanbul) as the only Ottoman territory in Europe. In 1913, Bulgaria disputed with Serbia, Greece, and
Romania for possession of Macedonia, which was ultimately partitioned between Greece and Serbia.
