Bandicoot

Bandicoot is a marsupial. It is chiefly insectivorous and native to Australia and New Guinea. Some of the species of this mammal belonging to several genera are either declared endangered or extinct, which includes the short-nosed bandicoot (Isodon obesulus). It belong to the family Peramelidae.
