Baptistery
Baptistery, also baptistry, is the part of a church where the religious rite of baptism is performed. Formerly, a building next to a church was used for this purpose and hence called a baptistery, but it has now become historical. In a Baptist church or chapel, it is the sunken receptacle used for the rite of total immersion of an adult believer for baptism.Nearby pages
