Barèges
Barèges is a place on the Hautes-Pyrénées in south-western France, at 4000 ft above the sea-level, resorted to for its mineral waters. It is situated in the valley of the Bastan on the former Route nationale 618 (the "Route of the Pyrénées") on the western side of the Col du Tourmalet. It is also famous for spa and as the ski resort.The village of Barèges gave its name to a fabric called barege, for it was originally made here.
