Barking deer

Barking deer, also called muntjac, is a small Southeast Asian deer. It is known for a doglike bark, hence its name. The male of this species grows tusks and small antlers. One of its several species is the Chinese muntjac (Muntiacus reevesi) which has been naturalized in England and France. It belongs to the genus Muntiacus, and the family Cervidae.
