Beacon Hill
Beacon Hill is a neighbourhood area of historical importance in downtown Boston, in the state of Massachusetts in the United States. It is situated on a high ground north of the Boston Common. It was a hill, cut down in early 19th century, upon which the Massachusetts State House resides. The area originally had three hills, Beacon Hill and two others nearby — Pemberton Hill and Mount Vernon. The term "Beacon Hill" is also used locally as a metonym to refer to the state government or the legislature itself.Nearby pages
