Beatrice

Beatrice (1265 – 1290), full name Beatrice "Bice" di Folco Portinari, was a beautiful Florentine maiden, Portinari, her family name, for whom Dante conceived an undying affection, and whose image abode with him to the end of his days. She is his guide through Paradise.
