Benediction

Benediction is the bestowing of a blessing, and also the utterance for the purpose, especially at the end of a religious service. A devout or formal invocation of blessedness is also called benediction. It is also the state of being blessed.

In the Roman Catholic Church, Benediction is a service in which the congregation is blessed with the Blessed Sacrament.
