Bitterroot

Bitterroot is a plant which bears showy pinkish-white flowers on short stems. It belongs to the purslane family and found in the rocky areas of western North Ameriaca. It is a state flower of Montana, where it is found in abundance. Botanical name of this plant is Lewisia rediviva, and it belongs to the family Portulacaceae.
