Blackthorn

Blackthorn, also called sloe, is a shrub, its blue-black fruits, and the walking stick or cudgel made from it. This thorny Eurasian shrub bears white flowers before the leaves appear. Its fruits are astringent. Prunus spinosa is its botanical name, and it belongs to Rosaceae family.
