Blenheim

Blenheim is the English name for Blindheim, a village in Bavaria in Germany near Augsburg. It was named so after the Blenheim Palace, the Duke of Marlborough's seat in central England, which was given to him in honour of his victory in the Battle of Blenheim was fought in 1704. The English under the Duke of Marlborough had defeated the French and the Bavarians in this battle.

Blenheim is also a dog of a breed. It is a small red and white spaniel, and is named after Blenheim Palace.
