Bloodworm

Bloodworm is a aquatic larva of a nonbiting midge. It has bright red colour. Since its blood contians hemoglobin, it is able to live in poorly oxygenated water. It belongs to the genus Chironomus, and the Chironomidae family.

Tubifex are also called boodworm, which is a small red annelid. They live in freshwater, partly buried in mud. It belongs to the genus Tubifex, class Oligochaeta, and the family Tubificidae.
