Bloody

Bloody is a state of being smeared or covered with blood. Something running with, composed of, or resembling blood is also referred to as bloody, and also those things that are characterized by or involving cruelty or bloodshed. Though the term is informally used to express anger, annoyance, or to emphasize something, such as the bloody rascal, the bloody drunk, or the bloody battle, it was formerly used as a swearword and was regarded unprintable, probably because people mistakenly believed it implied a blasphemous reference to the blood of Christ, or that the word was an alteration of "by Our Lady". Therefore, it is recommended that the term "bloody" must be used carefully.
