Brahmand Puran

Brahmand Puran is one of the 18 puranas in Hindu mythology. It is said to have been revealed by Brahma the creator of the universe. It contains 12,200 verses which describes the magnificence of the primordial egg from which Brahma is said to have been born. It also describes the present, past, and the future of the universe in various kalpas. The creation begins in the beginning of a kalpa and is annihilated at the end, it says.
