Bristol Channel

Bristol Channel is an inlet in South-West of England, between South Wales and Devon and Cornwall, 8 miles in length, from 5 to 43 in breadth, and with a depth of from 5 to 40 fathoms. This channel is subject to very high tides, and as such dangerous to shipping. Numerous rivers flow into it.
