Caceras

Caceras was a Spanish province in the North of Estremadura. The province derived its name from its capital city of the same name. It was famous for its bacon and sausages, as the province is for cattle-rearing.

The name of the city is now Cáceres. The city, situated in the western Spain's Extremadura region, was founded by the ancient Romans. , it retains widespread evidence of subsequent occupation by many different cultures. Its old town has fortified houses and palaces which is encircled by 12th-century Moorish walls.
