Charles James Mathews

Charles James Mathews (1803-1878) was a British actor and light comedian, son of the celebrated entertainer Charles Mathews and his wife, the actress Anne Jackson. He married Madame Vestris. He was a charming actor, acted with a great grace and delicacy of feeling.
