CHARLES SHAW LEFEVRE, VISCOUNT EVERSLEY (1794-1888), politician; graduated at Cambridge; called to the bar; entered Parliament, and in 1839 became Speaker of the House of Commons, a post he held with great acceptance for 18 years; retired, and was created a peer.
