Chinampas
Chinampas are floating gardens, or just artificial agriculture beds on the surface of a water body or lake. The artificial bed or the technique of creating one is called chinampa. It is used chiefly in the Valley of Mexico. A chinampa is a rectangular area made by interweaving reeds with stakes beneath the lake's surface and underwater fences. It is used as fertile arable land to grow crops in the shallow lakes.Nearby pages
