Climatic Climax

Climatic climax is a term in environmental science for the ecological climax reached in a given area beyond which the ecosystem is unable to support the ecological development. It owes its distinctive characters to climatic factors in conjunction with only such biotic influences as plants and animals naturally occurring in the area bring about.
