Daphne du Maurier

Daphne du Maurier (1907-1989) was a British writer. She was daughter of actor Gerald du Maurier. She was mainly a novelist and short story writer, who wrote chiefly romantic suspense and mystery. She was noted for her gothic style of writing. Her best known works include Rebecca, Jamaica Inn, and My Cousin Rachel.
