Demaratus
Demaratus (fl. 5th century BC) was a co-king of Sparta from 510 to 491 BC, together with Cleomenes I. He was dispossessed of his crown, after which he fled to Persia and accompanied Xerxes into Greece. He frustrated Cleomenes' designs on both Athens and Aegina.Nearby pages
