Wisdom & Quotes

  • I remember as a young man striving for an education how I walked three kilometres back and forth from the slums... to the state university. ...I would walk that distance under the rain, starved, sleepy, shivering, and with the raindrops mixing with the tears on my cheeks, but I stood it all because as a poor boy, like the children of the countless miserable families in our country today, I also dreamed of a better life for myself.

Akira Kurosawa
