Dolphin's Nose

Dolphin's Nose is a huge rocky headland, around 174 metres in height, located in the southern part of Visakhapatnam, a port city of Andhra Pradesh in India. It derives its name from its being resembling a dolphin's nose. The elevation of this rock is around 358 metres above the sea level.

It is a natural formation which projects majestically out into the Bay of Bengal. There is a huge lighthouse on its top, the light of which can be seen in the sea even from about 64 kilometres from land. This is the oldest lighthouse.
