Dorothy Gurney

Dorothy Gurney (1858 - 1932), born Dorothy Frances Blomfield, was an English hymn-writer and poet. She was the daughter of Frederick George Blomfield, Rector of St Andrew Undershaft in the City of London. She married the actor Gerald Gurney in 1897, and thereafter came to be known by the name Dorothy Gurney. Her notable works included "God's Garden".
