Ohiyesa

Ohiyesa (1858-1939), real name Charles Alexander Eastman, born Hakadah and later named Ohíye S'a sometimes written Ohiyesa, was a US Sioux writer, physician, and social reformer. He is also known for co-founding Boy Scouts of America. Eastman was of Santee Dakota, and of English and French ancestry. He is considered the first Native American author to write American history from the Native American point of view.
