Dr Narayan Roy
Dr Narayan Roy was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India, born in 1900 in Kailash Bose Street, Calcutta. He was son of K.N. Roy. He joined the Yugantar Party in 1928. During that period, he was also a councillor of Calcutta Corporation. He sentenced to 15 years R.I. and transferred to Yerhada jail in Mumbai. From there to Cellular Cell in Andamans in 1933. He participated in the two hunger strikes there. He was repatriated in 1938 and released in 1939. His total jail period was about nine years.Nearby pages
