Elena Petrovna Blavatsky

Elena Petrovna Blavatsky (1831-1891) was American Spiritualist, a Russian-born founder of the Theosophical Society. Her supposed psychic powers were debunked by the Society for Psychical Research, but she retained a large following, including writer Annie Besant.
