Elizabeth Bishop

Elizabeth Bishop (1911 — 79) was a US poet, a Pulitzer Prize winner for her first two collections — North and South (1946) and A Cold Spring (1955). Geography III (1976) is also among her notable works. Her poetry presents a contrast between her experiences in South America during 1952 — 67 and her New England origin.
