Ernesto Cardenal

Ernesto Cardenal (1925 – 2020) was a Nicaraguan poet. He was involved in revolutionary politics. He became monk, then ordained priest. He set up small religious community on remote island, Lake Nicaragua. His famous works include Hora, Epigrams, and his poetry covers wide range, from love poems to political satire.
