Galway
Galway the capital city of the Galway county in the province of Connaught in Ireland. It is situated on the North side of Galway Bay, at the mouth of the Corrib River, 50 miles North-West of Limerick. It it is divided into the old and new town, and contains several interesting ecclesiastical buildings, e. g. the cruciform church of St. Nicholas (1320), and is the seat of a Queen's College. Traditionally, fishing is an important industry, while wool and black marble are exported.Nearby pages
