Gauramai Mandir

Gauramai Mandir at Gaurikund is a famous temple in Uttarakhand state of India. It is believed that Bhagawati Goura (Parvati) had made Bhagawan Ashutosh (Lord Shiv) happy through penance and meditation. There is a splendid idol of Bhagawati Goura. Gaurikund is situated in the North of the temple. This pond is believed to be the bathing place of the goddess. Gaurikund is a hot water stream. Devotees take bath here before the begin their journey towards Kedarnath.
