Guinea

Guinea is a name somewhat loosely applied to an extensive tract of territory on the West coast of Africa, generally recognised as extending from the mouth of the Senegal in the North to Cape Negro in the South, and is further designated as Lower and Upper Guinea, the boundary line being practically the Equator. The territory was once occupied by various colonies of Britain, France, Germany, Portugal, Belgium, and the Negro Republic of Liberia.
