Hanau

Hanau is a German city in the Main-Kinzig-Kreis, in Hesse. During Prussian regime it was in Hesse-Nassau. It is located at the junction of the Kinzig and the Main, 11 miles North-East of Frankfurt. The city has been celebrated for its jewellery and gold and silver work, and is otherwise a busy manufacturing town. It is the birthplace of the brothers Grimm.
