Heptarchy

Heptarchy, in the Anglo-Saxon period in England, was the seven kingdoms of Kent, Sussex, Wessex, Essex, Northumberland, East Anglia, and Mercia, the chief of those established by the Saxons during the 6th century in Great Britain.
