Hyrcania
Hyrcania, a historical region now part of Iran and Turkmenistan, was an ancient province of Persia, on the East and the Southeast of the Caspian Sea, celebrated for the savage animals that inhabited its forests, as well as the savagery of its inhabitants. The region served as Province of the Median, Achaemenid, Seleucid, Arsacid, and Sasanian Empire between 548 BC and AD 651.Nearby pages
