JAMES MONCREIFF

JAMES MONCREIFF (1811-1895), brother of SIR HENRY W. MONCREIFF, bred for the Scottish bar; was Lord Advocate of Scotland under four administrations; was appointed Lord Justice-Clerk in 1860; was raised to the peerage in 1874.
