Jaswanth Garh War Memorial

Jaswanth Garh War Memorial is in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. It is situated at about 14 Km away from Sela pass. The War Memorial is raised to pay homage to Jaswant Singh, Mahavir Chakra awardee (posthumous) of 4 Battalion Garhwal Rifles.

This brave soldier showed admirable and unmatched valour during the Chinese aggression in 1962. He fought bravely and stopped the advancing Chinese force all alone for 72 hours. The aggressors could advance only after he met his end as martyr.
