Joseph Heller
Joseph Heller (1923-1999) was a US novelist and writer of short stories, plays, and screenplays. He is best-known for his novel "Catch-22" (1961), which is a satire on war and bureaucracy, whose title has become a synonym for an absurd or contradictory choice.
