Julius K Nyerere

Julius K Nyerere (1922-1999), full name Julius Kambarage Nyerere, was a Tanzanian nationalist and political leader led nationalist movement in colonial Tanganyika. After independence, Julius K Nyerere, became first prime minister of the country in 1961, and became president in 1962 when the country was declared a republic.
