Kathe Kollwitz

Kathe Kollwitz (1867-1945) was an East Prussian artist, painter, sculptor, and graphic artist. Her works were political and social in nature. She was first female member (1919) of Prussian Academy of the Arts. Nazis expelled her from the academy in 1933.
