Marie Curie

Marie Curie (1867-1934), born Marie Salomea Skłodowska,married to scientist Pierre Curie, was a Polish-born French scientist. She was a physicist and chemist who is known for her pioneering research on radioactivity. She isolated radium and polonium. She was joint winner of Nobel Prize for physics (1903) and winner of Nobel Prize for chemistry (1911).
