Khunti
Khunti is a district of Jharkhand in India. It derives its name from the Khunti town which is its headquarters. The district is spread over an area of about 2611 sq km with a population of 5,31,885 as per census 2011. Till recently, it was a sub -division of Ranchi district. It was carved out as a separate district on September 12, 2007.The population density of the district is 215 per sq. km and literacy rate is 64.51%. Nagpuri and Mundari are the major languages. There are 756 villages in the district.
