Kirkcaldy
Kirkcaldy is a town and former burgh in Fire in Scotland. It has been a famous manufacturing and seaport town in Fifeshire, extending 4 miles along the north shore of the Forth, known as the "lang toon." It was the birthplace of Adam Smith, and one of the scenes of the schoolmastership period of Thomas Carlyle's life. It was a famously manufacturing textile fabrics and floorcloth by the beginning of 20th century. It is a busy town.Nearby pages
