Kyrgyzstan

Kyrgyzstan is a country in Central Asia. However, United Nations has classified it in the South-central Asia region. This country was formerly knows as Kirghizia. It is situated on the Tien-Shan mountains. The capital city of Kyrgyzstan is Bishkek. Surface area of this country is 199,900 sq. km. and its currency here is som.

It was a former Soviet Republic that became independent in December 1991. Its neighbouring countries are China, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Tadzhikistan.
